Job Description:
We are hiring experienced Electricians for a heat trace project at CNRL Horizon. Work includes MI/MR heat tracing and must include proven heat trace experience. A competency test will be completed on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and work on MI/MR heat trace systems
- Remove old insulation
- Re-apply heat trace and insulation after valves are torqued
- Support related electrical work as required on site
- Maintain quality and safety standards in a sour-site environment
Requirements:
- 3rd Year, 4th Year, or highly qualified Journeyman Electrician
- Must have heat trace experience (MI/MR)
- Valid tickets: CSO, H2S Alive, CSTS 2020, WHMIS (Energy Safety Canada)
- Must be clean-shaven (mask-up / respirator site)
- Must pass drug and alcohol testing
- Comfortable working on an H2S (sour) site
- Own basic hand tools (remaining tools provided)
- Physically fit and able to work 11–12 hour shifts
Schedule & Compensation:
- 6 days on / 1 day off
- 11–12 hour days
- Overtime after 8 hours/day
- Night shift premium: $3.00/hour
- High overtime potential
Travel & Accommodations:
- Travel and accommodations provided for the duration of the job
- No mid-project flights home
- Crew can go to town on the day off if needed
- Candidates can fly from anywhere in Canada at their own expense, with reimbursement to follow
Provided On Site:
- Hard hats, gloves, eyewear, and coveralls
- Remaining tools (beyond basic hand tools)
