About the Position

A Vancouver-based printing and packaging company is looking for a motivated and reliable Press Feeder to join our production team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing jobs for production, supporting press operations, maintaining press supplies, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Full training is available. Previous printing experience is an asset but not required for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Prepare jobs for production, including piling paper, hanging plates, filling inks, and setting up the feeder
- Organize and verify paper and inventory for each job
- Ensure paper quantities and specifications are correct
- Confirm jobs are properly ruled up, backed up, and paginated
- Assist with manual fit moves using plate cylinders
- Maintain adequate inventory of ink, coating, rags, solutions, gloves, and other supplies
- Maintain general cleanliness, organization, and waste control
- Perform routine press cleaning and maintenance
- Change press water, vacuum, grease, and perform general cleaning as required
- Wash up the press, coater chamber, blades, blankets, bearers, gutters, and back steels after production




- Prepare wash-up bottles and reservoirs for the next shift
- Follow all company safety procedures and production standards

Qualifications

- Reliable, motivated, and willing to learn
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment
- Ability to follow instructions and production procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous printing or press experience is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical production duties
