We are seeking a dedicated Hog Barn Worker to join our livestock management team. This role involves maintaining the health and well-being of swine within a commercial hog barn environment through diligent care, cleaning, and operational support. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, physical strength for heavy lifting, and familiarity with farm machinery. Duties
- Assist in daily animal care routines, including feeding, watering, and monitoring hog health
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation within the barn to promote a healthy workplace for livestock
- Operate farm machinery such as feed systems, manure spreaders, and ventilation equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Handle heavy lifting tasks related to feed bags, manure removal,
and equipment setup
- Support biosecurity protocols by managing entry and exit procedures within the barn
- Record observations related to animal behavior and health for reporting purposes
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to safety standards
