Lawn Care Technician and Apprenticeship Opportunity

Golden Services Ltd. is hiring a reliable and motivated Lawn Care Technician to join our team in Red Deer. This is a great chance for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to build a career in landscaping and grounds maintenance. This position will also lead to winter work.

For the right candidate, we additionally offer the opportunity to pursue a Landscape Horticulturist apprenticeship, including support with apprenticeship registration and on-the-job training, subject to eligibility and performance.

Responsibilities:

- Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns
- Perform spring and fall cleanups
- Weed gardens and maintain flower beds
- Plant, prune, and maintain trees and shrubs
- Apply fertilizer and other lawn-care products safely
- Operate lawn-care equipment and maintain tools
- Provide friendly, professional service to customers
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures

Qualifications:

- Previous lawn care, landscaping, or outdoor work experience is an asset




- Valid driver’s licence and Vehicle is required
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather
- Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in pursuing a landscaping apprenticeship is an asset but not neccesary

Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
