Location: North Sydney, NS

Scheduling availability will be required between Monday-Friday, 7:45AM-5:30PM. Typical schedule is 36 hours per week, generally worked Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Schedule may vary based on operational needs.

The Cape Breton Dental Group is a small group of locally owned and managed dental offices within the CBRM. We have office locations in Downtown Sydney, North Sydney, Sydney Mines & New Waterford.

The opportunity:

The Cape Breton Dental Group is currently looking to hire two Registered Dental Assistants to join our busy and well established group of practices. The successful candidate will have a passion for building strong patient relationships and contributing to their ongoing oral health.

Responsibilities:

- Encourage dental patient acceptance of the treatment plan by meeting their needs, answering questions and by creating value for the proposed treatment
- Greet and assist patients as they arrive; ensure a lasting positive impression for them
- Process referral letters and other patient correspondence upon receipt from provider; manage and file all patient records and charts
- Present the treatment options, appointment, payment plans,



answer questions and overcome objections to motivate patient to case acceptance
- Clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation
- Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
- Clean and prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient
- Detailed understanding of practice health and safety requirements
- Build robust relationships with patients to ensure trust and loyalty

Requirements:

- Preference will be given to RDA's with Administration experience
- Knowledge and understanding of oral treatment plans and ability to educate patients
- Administrative experience considered an asset
- Some travel may be required
