TGM Contractors is a locally owned asbestos abatement & demolition contractor. We are seeking a reliable & dedicated abatement worker to join our small fun team. We work on residential and commercial renovations and demolitions, for reputable builders and homeowners throughout the Okanagan Valley & Kootenays. Requirements

- A reliable vehicle to get to and from work sites daily.
- A level 2 Asbestos Abatement license is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Willing to follow team leaders directions, and work in a team environment or independently as required.
- Basic understanding of hand tools, such as drills, hammers, and prybars.
- Willing to work in confined spaces, such as attics.
- Willing to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions (cold winters and hot summers!)
- Must wear a respirator and Tyvek suit (Please Note: This means shaving facial hair where the respirator seals is required).
- Be able to follow safety guidelines and regulations at all times.

Duties

- Demolition Tasks Include: Removing cabinets, flooring, baseboards, doors & toilets, etc.




- Abatement Set Up Includes: Building containments, taping poly to floors & walls, setting up neg. air systems.
- Abatement Tasks Include: Removing asbestos containing drywall, vermiculite, stucco, etc. – bagging all items and loading waste bins.
- Cleaning Tasks Include: Vacuuming, wiping and doing final clean of work areas to ensure no asbestos fibers are left behind.
- Additional jobs: Mould remediation and cleaning, hazardous material removal, etc.
- Ensuring a clean workspace is maintained throughout the project.

Hours & Pay – standard are 8 AM – 4 PM; Monday-Friday, with potential for overtime as needed! Since we operate on a job site specific basis, this can vary from week to week based on client needs. Please note that the pay is based on experience & abilities; please indicate your expectations with your application.
