End-of-Season Bar Manager → Winter Floor Lead

Looking for a unique way to finish the wedding season and head into winter with a new hospitality experience?

This role offers the chance to start with our wedding team and transition into Fergie’s Café for the winter season, giving you the chance to build experience across both event and restaurant hospitality.

Start the Season in the Woods

You'll begin the role as our End-of-Season Bar Manager, taking responsibility for the bar operation across our remaining weddings in the Squamish area.

You'll gain hands-on experience with:

- Bar stock ordering and inventory management
- Cocktail, mixer and garnish preparation
- Bar setup and breakdown
- Coordinating the bar team during weddings
- Preparing for and managing busy wedding services
- Working closely with the wedding and events team
- Ensuring the bar is stocked, organized and ready for service
- Creating a welcoming and memorable experience for wedding guests

It's a great opportunity to experience weddings in the woods from behind the scenes and develop real-world skills in event bar management and hospitality leadership.

Then Transition to Fergie’s Café for Winter

Once the wedding season comes to a close, you'll transition into Fergie’s Café as a Floor Lead for the winter season.

you'll take the leadership and hospitality experience you've developed through the wedding season and bring it into a busy café and restaurant environment.

As a Floor Lead, you'll help coordinate the front-of-house team, support day-to-day service, manage busy periods, and help ensure guests receive a warm, consistent experience.

This transition gives you the opportunity to build a well-rounded hospitality skill set, moving from event bar management into restaurant floor leadership — while staying with the same team throughout the seasons.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with previous bartending, restaurant, event or hospitality experience who is ready to take on more responsibility.

Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is an asset, but we're most interested in finding someone who is:

- Confident and personable
- Organized and dependable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take initiative and lead when needed
- Calm under pressure
- Excited to learn and grow within hospitality
- A positive and reliable team player

This is an opportunity to finish the wedding season in the woods, gain genuine bar management experience, and then carry those skills into a winter Floor Lead position at Fergie’s Café.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 32.0 per week
