Regional Operations Director

Overview
The Regional Operations Director (ROD) leads clinic operations across an assigned region, driving exceptional patient experiences, operational excellence, teammate engagement, and sustainable business growth. As the primary operational leader, the ROD partners with Clinic Managers, Providers, and Physicians to optimize performance, execute strategic initiatives, and achieve operational and financial goals.
The ROD is accountable for regional physician relationships, P&L; performance, clinic productivity, labor management, revenue growth, and patient outcomes. While operations remain the primary focus, the role also provides exposure to strategic planning, market expansion, acquisitions, and broader regional business leadership opportunities.
Core Responsibilities
Clinic Operations Leadership
- Lead and develop Clinic Managers to achieve operational excellence, patient satisfaction, teammate engagement, and compliance standards.
- Optimize clinic performance through effective scheduling, patient flow, resource planning, labor management, and operational consistency.
- Drive accountability for operational, financial, quality, and patient experience metrics.
- Identify and implement best practices that improve efficiency, access, and care delivery.
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with Vos values and focused on engagement, retention, and leadership development.
- Demonstrate strong triage, prioritization, and decision-making skills by assessing operational, financial, clinical, people, and reputational risks and determining the most appropriate course of action.
- Independently resolve issues within scope while escalating matters involving significant business risk, provider relations concerns, legal or compliance exposure, teammate relations issues, patient safety concerns, or material financial impact to senior leadership in a timely manner.
Provider & Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with Providers, Physicians, Clinic Managers, and Key Opinion Leaders.
- Partner with clinical leaders to improve productivity, utilization, patient outcomes, and business performance.
- Navigate difficult conversations and complex provider issues with professionalism and influence.
- Utilize strong conflict resolution skills to resolve operational and interpersonal challenges while maintaining alignment and accountability.
- Partner with clinical leaders to strengthen patient outcomes, practice standards, service delivery, and clinic performance.
Growth & Business Performance
- Drive same-clinic growth through patient acquisition, retention, service utilization, and treatment plan optimization.
- Partner with clinic leaders to improve provider productivity, capacity utilization, and revenue performance.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities and implement targeted improvement plans.
- Support achievement of regional revenue, profitability, labor, and productivity goals.
- Champion local market growth initiatives and community engagement opportunities.
Regional Business Leadership
- Maintain ownership of multi-site P&L; performance, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and profitability.
- Participate in strategic planning, business reviews, and growth initiatives.
- Support acquisition onboarding, operational integration, and performance stabilization efforts within the region.
- Identify market trends and opportunities that strengthen regional performance.
- Develop advanced financial, operational, and strategic business acumen to prepare for broader leadership responsibilities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide recommendations, insights, and solutions that support Vos's growth strategy and organizational goals
Talent & Performance Management
- Lead performance management across the region through coaching, accountability, development planning, and corrective action when necessary.
- Develop future leaders through succession planning, mentorship, and leadership development.
- Support talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies.

Main Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-10+ years of progressive multi-site leadership experience, preferably within healthcare or a similar service-based environment.
- Proven success leading geographically dispersed teams and driving operational, financial, and people performance.
- Advanced experience managing multi-site P&L; performance, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong provider, physician, and stakeholder relationships.
- Solid performance management, coaching, and leadership development skills.
- Exceptional conflict resolution, difficult conversation, and relationship management capabilities.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into operational execution.
- Ability to assess risk, prioritize complex issues, and determine appropriate escalation to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success leading change, growth initiatives, acquisitions, or operational integrations.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, communication, and influencing skills.
Positioning Statement
The Regional Operations Director is a growth-oriented operational leader who drives clinic performance through people leadership, operational excellence, and business discipline. While clinic operations remain the primary focus, the role offers significant exposure to revenue growth, financial management, market expansion, and strategic planning, creating a pathway toward future regional business leadership opportunities within Vos.
Pay: $125,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
