Service Advisor – Automotive Service Department

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $50,000 per year + performance-based KPI bonuses
Schedule: 32–40 hours per week, 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday

About the Role

Dixie Toyota is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy Service Department.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle's service and repair experience. You will listen to customers' concerns, recommend appropriate maintenance and repairs, prepare estimates and repair orders, and keep customers informed throughout the service process.

You will work closely with Service Technicians and other members of the dealership team to ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is an excellent opportunity for an automotive professional who enjoys working with customers and wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers in person and by phone in a professional and welcoming manner

- Listen to customers' vehicle concerns and accurately identify their service needs

- Schedule and coordinate vehicle service appointments

- Prepare accurate repair orders, estimates, and required documentation

- Recommend appropriate maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle needs

- Explain recommended services, repairs, pricing, and timelines clearly to customers

- Communicate repair status and provide regular updates throughout the service process

- Coordinate with Service Technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs

- Review completed work with customers and explain services performed

- Promote manufacturer maintenance schedules, service programs, and dealership products





- Identify additional service opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach

- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships

- Follow up with customers as required to ensure satisfaction

- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records

- Work as part of a collaborative Service Department team

- Follow all dealership policies, procedures, and health and safety standards

What We're Looking For

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset

- Previous Automotive Service Advisor, Service Consultant, Automotive Customer Service, or dealership experience is preferred

- Strong automotive knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair is an asset

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong listening, organization, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

- Basic computer and mathematical skills

- Experience with PBS dealership software is an asset

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays

- Valid Ontario driver's licence

- Ability and willingness to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles

- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Compensation & Benefits

- $50,000 annual base salary + KPI-based performance bonuses

- Full-time employment, 32–40 hours per week

- Bi-weekly pay, paid every second Thursday

Schedule

This position requires 5 days per week between Monday and Saturday, for a total of 32–40 hours per week.

Your shift will be assigned by your Team Leader upon hire and may be adjusted based on business needs.

A one-hour unpaid lunch break is provided.
