Senior Operations Director - Manufacturing
Our client is a leading, family-owned company in the poultry processing industry, dedicated to supplying high-quality chicken products to families across Canada and internationally since 1955. With headquarters in Brampton, Ontario, and operations spanning Ontario and New Brunswick, the company employs over 3,000 people and is recognized as a top supplier of fresh, seasoned, and prepared chicken products, including Halal-certified options. We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Director to manage one of the company’s key manufacturing portfolios. Reporting to the Vice-President of Operations & Logistics, this role will provide strategic and operational leadership across further processing facilities, focusing on ready-to-eat and tray-pack products.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee a significant manufacturing portfolio, including ready-to-eat and tray-pack production facilities.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to align with business objectives, ensuring operational excellence and profitability.
- Drive large-scale manufacturing transformations, capital projects, or facility start-ups.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to build high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Foster positive labour relations and maintain strong partnerships across departments.
- Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve margins.
- Lead commercialization efforts for new products and drive profitable growth.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Support talent development and succession planning within operational teams.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP) is an asset.
- 10+ years of operations leadership experience in complex, unionized manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading large-scale manufacturing transformations, capital projects, or facility start-ups.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and food safety regulations (e.g., CFIA, HACCP, BRC).
Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: $139,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
