Job Summary

The Print and Sign Maker is primarily responsible for the production and installation of custom signs and printed materials. This is a hands-on role that requires a team member who is reliable, has an attention to detail and can trouble shoot.

Key Responsibilities

- Production: Operate and maintain a variety of print and sign-making equipment, including large-format printers, laminators, and vinyl cutters.
- Fabrication: Measure, cut, and assemble signs using various materials such as vinyl, acrylic, wood, and metal.
- Finishing: Prepare and finish projects, which may include weeding vinyl, applying graphics to substrates, folding, laminating, binding of sign products or digitally printed products.
- Installation: Assist with or lead the installation of signage at client sites, which may include wall signs, vehicle graphics, mobile billboards, post signs, and window graphics.
- Quality Control: Ensure all finished products meet our quality standards and project specifications.
- Inventory: Help manage the inventory of materials, inks, and other supplies.
- Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to all safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Previous experience in a sign or digital print shop or related field is an asset.
- Technical Skills:



Proficiency with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW is an asset.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and comfortable working at heights on ladders or lifts during installations.
- Licensing: A valid G-class driver’s license with a clean record is required for in office installations. You will need to be able to drive a heavy-duty pickup with a trailer.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
