Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job Statement:

· To assist with a range of day to day activities within the Accounting department.

Essential Functions:

a. Verify, record and post invoices in Company Accounting systems.

b. Reconcile vendor statements before processing vendor payments.

c. Update A/P invoices and prepaid vendor netting within specific time constraints.

d. Prepare wire transfers and online payments.

e. Review monthly Waiting Three-way-match Report at accounting level.

f. Balance, replenish and disburse Petty Cash.

g. Care, custody and filing of invoices, payment documents etc.

h. Prepare Payroll and payroll-related journal entries.

i. Participate in and support the company’s SMS program.

j. Perform other duties, as necessary or as assigned by the Controller.

Job Knowledge and Skills:

a. Knowledge

· Good knowledge of general accounting concepts and principles.

b. Skills

· Mandarin language skills are considered a asse

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

· Good communication skills. Customer service oriented.

· Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Intermediate + proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook; intermediate + proficiency with Simply/Sage 50.

Job Qualifications

a. Required

· Post Secondary education in Accounting, e.g. College Diploma in Accounting.

· Minimum of two (2)



years A/P experience in a fast-paced work environment.

b. Preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
