Position Details

- Flexibility to work days or afternoons would be ideal
- Candidates must be willing to work up to 12-hour shifts as production requirements dictate
- Willingness to work overtime is a huge plus

About the Role

Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is recruiting on behalf of a local manufacturing company for an experienced Digital Press Operator. We are seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator to support a new press installation in a growing production facility. This is a production-critical position suited for someone with hands-on experience operating digital or industrial printing presses, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment in real time.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain advanced digital printing presses, including Hinterkopf equipment
- Set up production jobs, including calibration and changeovers
- Troubleshoot mechanical and print-related issues during production
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and machine adjustments
- Monitor print quality and make real-time adjustments
- Complete in-process quality inspections and production documentation
- Track production quantities, pallet counts, material usage, downtime, and delays
- Ensure finished products are palletized according to customer specifications
- Verify can type, dunnage, pallet configuration,



and packaging materials
- Communicate equipment issues, material shortages, setup concerns, and quality issues promptly
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Inventory, Shipping, Maintenance, Line Operators, and Shift Leads
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

- 2–3+ years of direct experience operating digital or industrial printing equipment in a manufacturing environment – required
- Proven ability to independently operate high-speed production equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
- Experience in packaging, beverage, or high-volume production is an asset
- Experience with aluminum can or cylindrical surface printing is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexible availability and willingness to work overtime
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing hands-on production tasks
- Dependable, accountable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
