We are currently seeking a new employee for our Sandblasting division, where you'll play a vital role in surface preparation and finishing processes. This energetic position involves operating specialized equipment to clean, smooth, and prepare metal and other surfaces for finishing or assembly. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for hands-on work will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production flow.
No experience necessary. Salary will be dependent upon experience and will be reviewed at three months. As a Sandblaster, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to sandblasting, surface preparation for industrial painting. Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently to clean and prepare surfaces according to specifications
- Set up and adjust abrasive blasting machines, ensuring proper pressure, media type, and nozzle distance for optimal results
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality, ensuring they meet project standards and specifications
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Support other team members with mechanical tasks such as the use of forklifts as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or a related industrial environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools and forklifts safely is preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring and setting up equipment accurately
- Understanding of safety procedures related to abrasive blasting and machinery operation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Robust attention to detail with a focus on quality standards
