About Us

Forged Design is a custom metal shop specializing in railings, stairs, fences, and other architectural metalwork. We’re a small, busy team that takes pride in precision, creativity, and customer service. We’re looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to join us in a hands-on role that combines estimation, design support, sales, and site work.

Responsibilities

- Assist with estimating projects (reviewing drawings, preparing quotes, updating Excel/QuickBooks).
- Support design work (Design projects using 3D modeling software, prepare detailed fabrication drawings, and coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure accuracy).
- Handle customer communication (answering phones, emails, providing updates).
- Help with sales support (following up with inquiries, preparing proposals).
- Visit job sites to take accurate measurements and relay details to the design/fabrication team.
- Maintain organized project folders, notes, and schedules.

Requirements

- Fluent in spoken and written English (essential for customer communication).




- Experience working with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Office/Excel, and learning new software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.
- Positive, professional attitude with willingness to learn and grow in the role.

Nice to Have (Assets)

- Experience in construction, metal fabrication, or related fields.
- Familiarity with reading construction drawings.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, SolidWorks, or project management tools (e.g., ClickUp).
