MacKenzie Knight Daycare is looking for caring, energetic and dependable Child Care Assistants (CCAs) to join our team!

Our centre provides care for infant and preschool-aged children. We are dedicated to supporting children and families by creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment that supports each child’s emotional, social, physical and developmental needs.

Responsibilities

As a Child Care Assistant, you will:

- Work with the Site Supervisor and other educators to develop and implement enjoyable, engaging and educational indoor and outdoor experiences
- Help create programming that supports the social, emotional, physical and developmental needs of children
- Prepare and organize spaces, equipment and materials for activities
- Guide, encourage and engage with children throughout their daily routines and activities




- Observe and attend to children's individual needs
- Build positive and caring relationships with children, families and coworkers
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe and organized environment
- Participate in professional development and educational opportunities

Requirements

Applicants must:

- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be willing and able to obtain a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
- Have current First Aid and CPR certification
- Be adaptable with shifts
- Be willing to learn about and work within all programs at the centre

Wage

Salary is based on education, level of training and experience using our newly updated and competitive wage scale. Our wage scale meets the Manitoba government target wage for Early Childhood Educators.
