We are seeking a motivated and experienced Rock Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty rock trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Duties
- Operate heavy-duty rock trucks to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, and rocks across construction sites with precision and safety.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the truck, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and safety features to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to plan routes and load/unload materials efficiently.
- Maintain accurate logs of loads transported, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs for record-keeping purposes.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks on trucks and other heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators,
loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols related to heavy equipment operation, including wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment systems for troubleshooting minor issues.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures.
- Prior experience in construction or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate additional equipment such as horizontal drills or other specialized machinery is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance practices for heavy equipment ensures reliability and safety during operations.
