Overview

We are a precision manufacturing shop specializing in firearm components, including rifle barrels, actions, and accessories.-built to tight tolerances for a demanding industry. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Red Seal Machinist to join our growing team in Chilliwack.

Responsibilities

-Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills to produce precision-machined firearm components (barrels, actions, accessories)

-Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications

-Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.) to maintain tight tolerances

-Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials and operations

-Troubleshoot and correct machining issues to minimize scrap and downtime

-Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling

-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

-Accurately complete production and quality documentation

Qualifications





-Red Seal Certification (Machinist) required

-5+ years of hands-on machining experience, ideally in a precision manufacturing environment

-Strong blueprint reading and GD&T; knowledge

-Proficiency with precision measuring tools

-Experience with CNC setup and operation (mills and/or lathes)

-Mastercam and/or Fusion 360 experience an asset

-Firearms manufacturing or similar high-tolerance industry experience an asset

-Ability to pass a background check (required for firearms industry employment)

-Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and pride in workmanship

-Reliable, punctual, and able to work well independently and as part of a team

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
