Reporting to the Field Construction Manager, the HVAC Technician is responsible for ensuring safe and productive operation as this role supports in the design, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, appliances, equipment, and accessories. This position is based at a remote camp site in Northern Saskatchewan and operates on a rotational schedule.

Responsibilities include:

· Ability to diagnose and repair all brands of commercial RTU’s, MUA’s and Boilers quickly and efficiently

· Generate work order requests for repairs and services

· Perform regular preventative maintenance

· On-site estimating, preparing quotes and follow-up

· Documenting of all parts and services provided for accurate estimating

· Basic vehicle maintenance and daily vehicle inspections

· Attendance at all company events, meetings, and training

· Ability to work a rotational schedule of two weeks on / two weeks off in a remote camp environment.

Education and experience:

· Extensive knowledge and experience with Commercial HVAC equipment

· Journeyman Refrigeration / Gas tickets (Required) / Sheet Metal ticket or relevant experience a MUST

· Minimum 3-years Commercial HVAC experience

· Flexible schedule is an asset to accommodate extra work when required (on-call evenings/weekends)

· Driver’s License required





· Must have Commercial Boiler and Plumbing Experience

Skills and competencies:

· Must be reliable and punctual

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Organized and the ability to multi-task

· Ability to meet job requirements with little daily supervision

· Ability to organize and maintain accurate equipment files

· Excellent attitude toward workplace safety

· Computer knowledge and skills in Word, Excel, Outlook

· Good Mechanical Aptitude

· Must be a positive team player with a strong work ethic and able to work well with both clients and co-workers

· Able to lift, move and carry up to 50lbs

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications

· Thorough knowledge of relevant industry codes Experience in a mining environment is an asset

Position Details

- Type: Full-time, permanent
- Shifts: 10-hour shifts
- Wage: $45–$55 per hour (following Labour Standards overtime eligible)
