We're looking for a Field Manager — the person who owns quality on the ground.
This is not a desk job. You'll be on site, in uniform, cleaning alongside the team and holding the standard by doing the work yourself. If you want to supervise from a truck with a clipboard, this isn't the role.
You'll be the person our clients see and the person our cleaners look to. When a site passes inspection, that's you. When it doesn't, that's also you.
What You'll Own
Quality control
- Run scheduled and surprise site inspections against our checklists
- Sign off on job completion — nothing goes to the client until you've cleared it
- Catch problems before the client does, and fix them the same day
- Document quality issues with photos and follow through to resolution
Leading in the field
- Work hands-on alongside crews — cleaning, not just watching
- Train new cleaners on our standards, chemicals, equipment, and site-specific requirements
- Set the pace and the standard by example, every shift
- Run walkthroughs on new sites and build the site-specific scope with the Director
Team performance
- Give direct, immediate feedback when work isn't up to standard
- Identify who's performing and who isn't — and say so honestly
- Coach cleaners who can improve; escalate to the Director those who can't
- Support last-minute coverage: step in and clean a shift yourself when needed
Client-facing
- Be the on-site point of contact for site supervisors and property managers
- Handle client concerns professionally and escalate what needs escalating
- Represent K Cleaning Group in a way that keeps contracts renewing
Health & safety
- Enforce WHMIS, PPE, and safe work practices on every site
- Complete incident and near-miss reporting
- Maintain equipment and manage supply levels on assigned sites
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
- Day 30: You know every active site, its scope, and its standard. You've completed a full inspection cycle.
- Day 60: Client quality complaints are down. You're training new hires independently. Nothing goes to a client unsigned.
- Day 90: You're running the field day-to-day with minimal oversight. The Director knows the quality is handled without checking.
Must-Have Requirements
- 2–3 years minimum supervisory experience — you have directly supervised a team, not just been a senior cleaner
- Hands-on cleaning experience — commercial, janitorial, post-construction, or residential — and you're fully comfortable performing cleaning duties yourself, every day
- Demonstrated quality control experience — you've run inspections, used checklists, and held a standard
- Valid BC driver's licence and reliable vehicle — you'll be moving between sites daily across the Fraser Valley
- Clean criminal record check — required for client site access
- Physically capable — lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and moving for full shifts, ladder work
- Flexible availability — including some evenings and weekends, and the ability to cover a shift on short notice
- Strong written and spoken English — you'll be communicating with clients, cleaners, and the Director daily
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to Have
- WHMIS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Experience with post-construction or biohazard cleaning
- Carpet cleaning equipment experience
- First Aid certification
- Experience with scheduling or job management software
- Experience in a rapid-growing small business
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
Work Location: In person
