Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and motivated Part-Time Bakery Team Member to support both front-of-house/customer service and kitchen operations across our two Toronto bakery locations.
This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in different areas of the bakery and has flexible availability. Scheduled hours and shifts may vary from week to week depending on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Take customer orders and accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions.
- Serve, package, display, and restock bakery products.
- Prepare sandwiches, food items, coffee, and other beverages.
- Assist with basic kitchen and food preparation duties.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and product-handling procedures.
- Maintain front-of-house, kitchen, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Complete opening and closing procedures as scheduled.
- Support both front and kitchen operations during busy periods.
- Work at either the Distillery District or Logan Avenue location depending on operational needs.
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and team-oriented.
- Flexible availability is essential.
- Available to work weekdays and weekends, including opening and closing shifts as required.
- Comfortable working in both front-of-house and kitchen operations.
- Must be able to work at both bakery locations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to follow established procedures and management instructions.
- Previous bakery, café, restaurant, retail,
or food-service experience is preferred.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
Important Scheduling Information
This is a part-time position with variable scheduling based on the operational needs of the bakery. Weekly hours and shifts may vary and are not guaranteed to remain the same each week.
Candidates should be comfortable with a flexible schedule and working different shifts and locations when required.
Training
New employees will receive training shifts to learn bakery procedures, including front-of-house and kitchen operations, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, cleaning standards, and the operations of both locations. Training shifts are part of the onboarding process and are intended to prepare employees to perform their assigned responsibilities independently.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
