Job Description: Cycle Count Associate

- Department: Canadian Warehouse Operations
- Reports To: Warehouse Manager
- Location: Milton Warehouse (Milton, Ontario)
- Position Status: Full Time
- Status: Hourly / Non-exempt (CAD $23.61 - $27.77 / hour)
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
- Management Level: N/A

Job SummaryThe Cycle Count Associate is responsible for maintaining and improving inventory accuracy through systematic cycle counting, inventory verification, discrepancy investigation, and location management within the warehouse. This role plays a critical part in supporting inventory integrity, operational efficiency, customer service levels, and continuous improvement initiatives. The associate will work closely with the Canadian Warehouse Manager, Parts & Whole Goods Lead, and the Shipping and Receiving teams to ensure all inventory records accurately reflect physical stock.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Accuracy & Cycle Counting

- Daily Audits: Perform daily cycle counts in designated warehouse zones according to established inventory control schedules.
- System Verification: Verify part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, serial numbers, and storage locations against Warehouse Management System (WMS) records.
- Variance Investigation: Investigate and document inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, misplaced stock, and incorrect item locations.
- Quality Control: Identify and report damaged, obsolete, or non-conforming machinery inventory.
- Validation: Execute recounts and inventory audits as required to validate initial findings.
- Data Integrity:



Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in the WMS.

Warehouse Organization & Location Management

- Space Optimization: Consolidate inventory and optimize storage locations to maximize warehouse space utilization.
- Label Compliance: Verify proper labeling, barcode readability, location signage, and inventory identification standards.
- 5S Standards: Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse locations following 5S principles.
- Stock Return: Return inventory to correct locations following count verification and investigation.
- Slotting Support: Assist with inventory relocations and strategic slotting initiatives.

Inventory Reconciliation & Problem Resolution

- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate inventory variances to determine the underlying root cause.
- Internal Communication: Document and communicate inventory discrepancies directly to the Warehouse Manager and parts personnel.
- Corrective Action: Support corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy and reduce recurring variances.
- Unassigned Stock: Investigate unassigned inventory, add-on items, and misplaced components.
- Adjustments:



Assist with reconciliation processes and official inventory adjustments following company procedures.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

- Process Efficiency: Support inventory control initiatives focused on improving inventory accuracy and process efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies, operational procedures, and inventory control standards.
- Audit Readiness: Ensure compliance with established counting methods and assist during comprehensive physical inventory and annual audits.

System & Documentation Management

- Tool Utilization: Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), PDA scanners, Microsoft Excel, and inventory reporting tools.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cycle count results, discrepancy reports, and corrective actions.
- Trend Analysis: Generate and review inventory reports to identify trends and areas requiring improvement.
- Compliance Documentation: Ensure inventory documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-compliant.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: 1–2 years of warehouse inventory control, auditing, or cycle counting experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience handling heavy machinery parts, tractor components, or automotive stock is a robust asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency operating PDA/RF scanners, WMS platforms, and basic Microsoft Excel.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift, work in a warehouse environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $23.00-$27.77 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 60.0 per week
