Job Title: Millwright

Job Summary: We’re hiring a Millwright to work with one of our clients in Aylmer in the steel manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment while supporting preventative maintenance and minimizing production downtime.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 100% in office.

Job Location: Aylmer, ON

Shift Structure:

· Day Shift = Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-3:30pm

· Afternoons = Monday - Thursday 4pm-3pm

Compensation Structure: $43.45/hour to start (or more if you hold dual tickets)

Responsibilities:

· Perform preventative, routine, and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment in accordance with company standards, established procedures, and all applicable safety requirements.

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related equipment to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production operations.

· Complete welding and fabrication repairs as required to support equipment reliability and functionality.

· Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventative maintenance activities, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate corrective action before they impact production.

· Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests, investigating equipment concerns and determining effective solutions to address root causes.

· Perform minor electrical repairs and installations when required to support the safe and reliable operation of machinery and equipment.





· Accurately record maintenance activities through the Maintenance Request System, including work completed, repair requests, equipment conditions, and status updates.

· Participate in maintenance meetings and collaborate with maintenance team members, production personnel, and other departments to coordinate priorities, schedules, and operational requirements.

· Operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely, promptly report defective equipment and workplace hazards, and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable company safety policies and procedures.

· Understand and exercise workplace health and safety rights and responsibilities, including the right to know about workplace hazards and the right to refuse unsafe work.

· Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Licensed Millwright with approximately 3–5 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.

· Strong understanding of company products, equipment, and their applications within the manufacturing environment.

· Demonstrated ability to safely perform lockout/tagout procedures prior to completing maintenance, repairs, or servicing activities.

· Knowledge of the operation, capabilities, limitations, and maintenance requirements of machinery and equipment within the assigned area.

· Comfortable working at heights and following all applicable safety procedures and requirements.

· Familiarity with material handling practices and the safe use of cranes, slings, lifting devices, and related equipment.

· Willingness and ability to continue developing technical knowledge and skills to keep pace with evolving manufacturing technologies, equipment, and company requirements.
