A-1 Security Systems & Communications Inc. is looking for a dependable, hands-on person to join our team in a full-time Technical Helper / Installer Assistant position.

You do NOT need to be an experienced security or alarm technician. We are willing to train the right person.

We are looking for someone who is good with their hands, mechanically inclined, comfortable with technology, and interested in learning a technical trade.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will work alongside our experienced technicians helping with:

- Installation and assembly of electronic equipment
- Security systems, cameras and related devices
- Running and installing low-voltage wiring
- Mounting cameras, sensors and other equipment
- Basic setup of electronic devices
- Using smartphone and tablet apps to set up and test equipment
- Troubleshooting basic equipment and wiring
- Preparing equipment for installations
- Using hand tools and power tools
- Assisting technicians on residential and commercial job sites

Experience

Previous experience with electronics, construction, electrical work, automotive, computers, networking, cameras, security systems or other technical work would be an asset, but is not required.

Attitude, reliability and the ability to learn

This could be a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technology and hands-on work and would like to develop into a more experienced technician over time.
