General Labourer

$18.00 per hour | 4-Week Assignment

Start Date: September 2, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Nova Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer for a temporary assignment in a warehouse and recycling environment. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are safety-conscious, and are comfortable working in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

- Weigh trucks as they enter and exit the scale
- Assist the baler operator with processing sandwich bales
- Sort recycled materials, including opening mixed recycling bales
- Separate plastic film from cardboard and other recyclable materials
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean washrooms, office areas, and warehouse spaces
- Perform general housekeeping duties throughout the facility
- Use a manual pallet jack as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Complete other labour and cleaning tasks as assigned

Requirements

- Steel toe boots/shoes in good condition are required
- Satisfactory criminal background check required
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
- Comfortable standing and walking on concrete floors for extended periods




- Able to work in a dusty industrial environment
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions
- Ability to safely use a manual pallet jack
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow workplace procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work

Additional Information

No experience is required; however, candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial environment and performing physically demanding tasks.
