Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding and assembling stainless/aluminum components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in TIG welding, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various fabrication tools, will contribute to the production of high quality products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small, tight-knit team environment, where craftsmanship and attention to detail are highly valued. This position is for TIG and MIG welding aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel. You must be able to read shop drawings/blueprints and possess your own hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. The successful candidate MUST be able to pass a pre-employment TIG Welding test, on site at our shop in Niagara Falls.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel and aluminum according to detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate execution of welds in compliance with ASME codes & standards.
- Fit parts together in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction sites, mechanical operations, and welding procedures.
- Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication projects involving mechanical knowledge and assembly processes.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years experience in TIG welding with a strong understanding of welding techniques.
- Skilled in MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) as well as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with construction site environments and the use of hand tools, power tools and rigging equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with assembly processes involving structural fabrication is required.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with robust problem-solving abilities.
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery if required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
