Overview
We are a nature-based after school care program for children ages 5-10 years old. Our time is spent between the park and the beach, along with our cozy indoor space and gymnasium we love to use during the fall and winter. Our daily activities are adapted to their after school needs and inspired by the natural world around us. The unique, individual behavioural, emotional, and physical development of each child is prioritized through the support of our leaders.

Staff shifts

Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-5:00/5:30pm

The contract for this role starts September 8th, 2026 through June 24th, 2027. The ideal candidate will have this availablity as we commit to our community through this timeline. There would be opportunity to continue the role for summer camps along with the following school year, 2027-28.

Responsibilities

- Create a safe, supportive and engaging childcare environment
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all children under your supervision
- Effectively communicate with the team, the children, and their families concerning children's progress in all aspects and any possible difficulties if they arise
- Organize and lead age-appropriate activities and games to enhance children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development - often with inspiration of whimsy & enchantment :)





Job Qualifications & Requirements

- First Aid/CPR-C Training certification (must be up-to-date)
- Completion of a Criminal Record Check
- Responsible Adult Certificate or Equivalent
- Previous experience in childcare
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles
- Up-to-date Vaccinations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 18.0 per week
