Quality Plates & Profiles Ltd. is looking for a dependable, safety-focused CNC Plasma / Oxy-Fuel Machine Operator to join our production team. This hands-on steel plate processing position is responsible for operating CNC plasma and oxy-fuel burning equipment to produce high-quality parts while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to quality work in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan cutting operations by reviewing work orders, drawings, material specifications, and machine parameters.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances.

· Set up and operate CNC plasma and oxy-fuel burning machines.

· Modify standard shapes and cutting programs when required.

· Verify completed parts using tape measures, squares, and other measuring equipment.

· Mark finished parts with the correct drawing numbers, heat numbers, and identification markings.

· Safely operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.

· Perform routine equipment inspections and basic machine maintenance.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all company safety policies and procedures.

· Work cooperatively with teammates and other departments and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Experience operating CNC plasma and/or oxy-fuel burning machine.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints.

· Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances,



and quality requirements.

· Comfortable using measuring equipment to verify finished parts.

· Basic computer skills and ability to navigate machine controls and production software.

· Strong attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Assets

· Forklift experience is considered an asset.

· Candidates with strong CNC, steel fabrication, machine operation, or related industrial experience are encouraged to apply.

· $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience.

· Four Day Workweek – Monday-Thursday, 10 Hour day Shifts

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, steel plate, overhead cranes, and industrial machinery.

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.

· In-person position.

Previous plasma or oxy-fuel cutting experience is preferred however, candidates with solid CNC, steel fabrication, machine operation, or related industrial experience are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
