Be Fresh Market is growing, and we’re excited to be opening new neighbourhood grocery stores in Vancouver.

We’re looking for friendly, energetic, and community-minded Team Members to join us as we build our new stores and welcome our first customers.

About the Role

As a Grocery Store & Café Team Member, you’ll help make our stores welcoming, organized, and enjoyable places to shop.

This is a hands-on role where every day can look a little different. You may help customers find products, stock shelves, operate the checkout, receive deliveries, maintain fresh displays, support café activities, or jump in wherever the team needs you.

Because our new Be Fresh locations combine grocery and café experiences, there may also be opportunities to support our café and fresh-food areas depending on your interests, skills, and experience.

Most importantly, you’ll help create the warm, neighbourhood atmosphere we want every customer to experience when they walk through our doors.

What You’ll Do

- Create a great customer experience




- Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Answer questions and help customers find products.
- Build positive relationships with customers and our local community.

Keep our shelves stocked

- Receive, unpack, rotate, stock, and replenish grocery and fresh products.
- Maintain organized, well-stocked shelves and displays.
- Follow proper product-handling and rotation practices.

Merchandise products

- Create attractive, organized, and easy-to-shop displays.
- Ensure products are properly priced, labelled, and presented.
- Support promotional and seasonal merchandising.

Support checkout

- Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently.
- Process customer purchases and payments.
- Provide a friendly and positive experience at the register.

Maintain product quality

- Monitor product freshness, dates, rotation, and presentation.
- Follow food-safety and product-handling procedures.
- Identify and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate team member.

Support our café and fresh-food areas

- Depending on the store and your experience, assist with coffee/matcha beverages, prepared foods, and other café activities.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and inviting food-service areas.

Keep the store looking great·

- Maintain clean, organized, safe, and welcoming customer and team areas.
- Follow cleaning, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.

Help launch our recent stores

- Support store setup, stocking, merchandising, organization, and opening preparations.
- Help ensure the store is ready to provide an excellent experience from day one.

Work as one team

- Collaborate with teammates across different areas of the store.
- Be willing to learn new skills and support other departments when needed.
- Jump in and help wherever you can make a difference.

What You Bring

- Previous experience in grocery,



retail, customer service, food service, or a café environment is an asset — but we’re happy to train the right people.
- A friendly, positive, and approachable personality.
- A genuine interest in helping customers and providing excellent service.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- A collaborative attitude and willingness to support your teammates.
- Comfort working in a busy, hands-on retail environment.
- Ability to remain on your feet throughout your shift and perform the physical requirements of grocery retail, including stocking, lifting, carrying, and moving products.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- An interest in local, organic, sustainable, and high-quality food is an asset.
