Job Summary
The team at Rutland Dental Centre are seeking a dedicated and proficient Licensed/Certified Dental Assistant to join our tight knit dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of procedures, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.

We are looking for someone full-time 4-5 days a week. Flexible with hours if need to accommodate around school drop-off and pick-up!

Responsibilities

- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Taking accurate digital radiographs and intraoral photos.
- Complete preliminary assessments by reviewing and documenting medical histories.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures -- our office provides comprehensive care including: general dentistry, crown/bridge, orthodontic, pediatric, endodontic, and surgical procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.




- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Utilize 3D scanners for patient records, patient education, and impressions to be sent to the lab -- we use both a Trios 3shape and iTero intraoral scanners in the office.

Skills

- Proficient in using digital dental charts (we use Dentrix at our office).
- Experience in chairside assisting in a variety of procedures.
- Experience with digital radiographs, including CBCT imaging.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
