CNC Long Folding Brake Operator – Sheet Metal

Lenmak Exterior Innovations Inc. is hiring an experienced CNC Long Folding Brake Operator to join our Edmonton manufacturing team.

This is a skilled operator position working with our Jorns TwinMatic CNC double-bending long folder to manufacture custom architectural metal panels, flashings, trims, and long formed profiles.

We are looking for an experienced CNC sheet metal operator who takes pride in precision workmanship, understands how to work independently from production drawings, and is comfortable setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC metal-forming equipment.

Direct experience with Jorns equipment is highly valued. We will also consider candidates with strong transferable experience operating Thalmann, Schechtl, CIDAN, Salvagnini, RAS, Schröder, or comparable CNC folding and sheet metal forming equipment.

This is not an entry-level position. Previous CNC sheet metal forming experience is required.

The Role

As a CNC Long Folding Brake Operator, you will be responsible for producing precision architectural metal components using Lenmak's automated forming equipment.

The work includes a combination of custom and production fabrication. You will work from detailed shop drawings, determine appropriate forming sequences, set up and adjust the equipment, and verify that finished components meet dimensional and quality requirements.

This position is well suited to an experienced operator who enjoys technically skilled work, values independence, and takes ownership of the quality of the components they produce.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate the Jorns TwinMatic CNC double-bending long folder
- Read and interpret shop drawings, dimensions, bend details, and production specifications
- Program, select, and adjust machine parameters and bending sequences
- Manufacture custom architectural metal panels, flashings, trims, and long profiles
- Form sheet metal using upward and downward bending sequences
- Verify material type, gauge, dimensions, orientation, and forming requirements
- Use measuring equipment to confirm dimensions, angles, and finished-part accuracy
- Inspect first pieces and monitor quality throughout production
- Adjust programs or machine settings as required to maintain accuracy
- Troubleshoot forming, setup, material, and programming issues




- Handle finished architectural components carefully to protect surface quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Contribute to continuous improvements in quality, safety, and production efficiency

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of relevant CNC sheet metal forming, folding, bending, or fabrication experience
- Hands-on experience operating CNC-controlled metal-forming equipment
- Ability to independently read and interpret shop and production drawings
- Experience with CNC machine setup and parameter adjustment
- Strong understanding of dimensions, bend locations, bend angles, and forming sequences
- Ability to use measuring tools accurately and verify finished work
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills
- Solid attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work effectively within production schedules
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following would be considered a strong asset:

- Jorns TwinMatic equipment
- Jorns CNC long folders or double-bending machines
- Thalmann CNC long folders
- Schechtl CNC folding equipment
- CIDAN CNC folding equipment
- RAS or Schröder folding equipment
- Salvagnini automated sheet metal forming equipment
- CNC long folding or automated sheet metal folding equipment
- Architectural sheet metal fabrication
- Custom flashings, trims, and long profiles
- Metal cladding and roofing components
- CNC programming and machine parameter adjustments
- Forklift and/or overhead crane operation

Experience Required

Minimum 2 years of CNC sheet metal folding, forming, bending, or comparable CNC metal-forming experience.
