We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to fill a FT position in a busy café with a kitchen/bakery/cafe in-house.

We are looking for someone with the motivation and interest to thrive and grow with us in this long-term position.

Skills and abilities we expect from you:

· Relevant management experience leading a team of 5 or more employees.

· The focus and drive to pick up and learn many new tasks quickly.

· The ability to multitask efficiently.

· Experience with stock management and coordination.

· Familiarity with up-selling techniques.

· Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

· 3+ years experience in customer relations.

· Ability to see projects and tasks through to the end.

· Comfortable working in close quarters with employees, management, and customers.

· Comfortable meeting tight deadlines.

· Comfortable following recipes carefully.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding workplace.

· Friendly and positive attitude.

· Reliable transportation (Shifts start as early as 5:00am).

· Comfortable making mistakes but always ready to learn from them.





These are qualities we will take into account, but aren’t necessary for us to consider you:

· Kitchen experience.

· Experience with POS/Quickbooks/Microsoft Office.

Good to have:

· Hepatitis A shot (is a required condition of full employment).

· Food Safe level 1 (is a required condition of full employment).

· Covid-19 vaccination.

· Baking experience.

· Barista/Café experience.

· WHMIS.

· First Aid.

· Experience with scheduling.
