**Construction Safety Officer**
**Delta/Richmond, BC | Long-Term Construction Project**

We're looking for a **Construction Safety Officer** to join a major civil construction project in the Delta/Richmond area.

In this role, you'll be a key member of the site team, helping maintain a safe, productive work environment while supporting day-to-day site operations.

**What You'll Be Doing**
+ Champion and enforce site safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
+ Ensure ongoing compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety standards.
+ Complete and maintain safety reports, inspections, documentation, and records using computer-based systems.
+ Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify and address potential risks.
+ Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
+ Deliver safety orientations for new workers and ensure site safety expectations are understood.
+ Assist with pre-employment safety testing and compliance requirements.
+ Communicate safety concerns and recommendations effectively with workers, supervisors, and management.
+ Support site operations through general labour duties, including moving pumps and assisting crews as required.
**What We're Looking For**
+ Minimum **2 years of experience** in a construction safety position such as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA3) attendant.
+ Experience working on active **civil construction, excavation, or earthworks projects** .
+ Valid **Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA3)** certification.
+ Strong understanding of **WorkSafeBC regulations** and their practical application on construction sites.
+ Comfortable using computers for reporting, documentation, and record management.
+ Ability and willingness to perform physical labour when required.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Reliable transportation to and from the project site.

**Work Schedule & Environment**
+ **Monday to Friday, rotating Saturdays**

This role combines safety leadership with hands-on field support in an outdoor construction environment.
You'll work closely with site supervisors and crews while helping ensure everyone goes home safely at the end of each day.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
