Position Summary

The General Labourer supports daily site operations by performing a variety of manual labour tasks in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient operations while supporting production teams, supervisors, and skilled trades at our Cobourg facility.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

- Assist supervisors, machine operators, and skilled trades with daily operational activities
- Perform general labour duties including material handling, production support, and cleanup
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials
- Prepare work areas and ensure readiness for manufacturing and operational tasks
- Support production processes, equipment setup, and maintenance activities as required

Health & Safety

- Follow all Soluroc safety policies, procedures, and site-specific rules
- Properly use required PPE at all times
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Report hazards,



near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment

Teamwork & Reliability

- Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and production staff
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Adapt to changing priorities and production needs
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational requirements

Qualifications & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial, or labour-intensive environments is an asset
- Experience working with machinery or production equipment (e.g., lathe) is considered a strong asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
- Willingness to work in an industrial environment with varying conditions
- Solid awareness of safety practices and willingness to follow instructions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation an asset
