Job Title: Entry-Level Construction Labourer

Location: HRM, Nova Scotia

We are currently seeking motivated and dependable Entry-Level Construction Labourers to support active construction projects throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to break into the construction industry and gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled tradespeople and experienced site crews.

No extensive construction background is required, just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physical work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with general labour duties, including lifting, carrying, and moving construction materials
- Support site preparation and daily construction activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site through routine housekeeping and debris removal
- Assist supervisors, tradespeople, and senior labourers with assigned tasks




- Learn and safely use basic construction tools and equipment
- Follow all workplace safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, and walking throughout the workday
- Complete additional duties as assigned by site supervisors and management

Requirements:

- Previous construction or labour experience is an asset but not required
- Physically capable of performing labour-intensive tasks and lifting materials throughout the shift
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather and site conditions
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills within the construction industry
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced workplace
