Accessibility Sales & Business Development Consultant

Job Summary

Stay at Home Elevating Services is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and results-driven Accessibility Sales & Business Development Consultant to join our growing team.

This is a proactive sales role. While the successful candidate will receive and manage incoming company leads, a key responsibility of this position is to actively develop new business, build referral relationships, and generate new sales opportunities throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

The role involves meeting with homeowners, businesses, contractors, healthcare and care providers, community organizations, and other referral partners to identify accessibility needs and provide customized mobility and accessibility solutions.

Our company specializes in stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, accessibility renovations, and barrier-free solutions. This position combines business development, consultative sales, project coordination, technical problem-solving, and relationship building.

The ideal candidate is personable, confident, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable getting out into the community to develop relationships and create new opportunities rather than relying solely on incoming leads.

ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

- Actively generate new leads and sales opportunities through outbound business development
- Identify and develop referral relationships with occupational therapists, healthcare professionals, care facilities, contractors, builders, property managers, community organizations, and other potential referral partners
- Conduct regular in-person outreach and relationship-building throughout the company's service area
- Prospect for new residential and commercial opportunities through phone, email, networking, community outreach, and in-person visits
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and referral partners
- Follow up consistently on incoming leads, quotations, previous inquiries, and prospective opportunities
- Attend trade shows, networking events, industry events, and community outreach opportunities
- Identify new markets,



partnerships, and sources of business for the company
- Meet established sales and business-development activity targets
- Track prospecting activity, referral sources, opportunities, quotations, and sales results
- Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals

Client Consultation & Sales

- Meet with clients on-site to assess mobility and accessibility needs
- Recommend appropriate accessibility solutions, including stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, ramps, and related renovations
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain technical information in an easy-to-understand manner
- Prepare estimates, quotations, and project proposals
- Assist clients with funding resources and product options where applicable
- Maintain strong client relationships from initial consultation through project completion
- Provide excellent follow-up and customer service throughout the sales process

Project Coordination

- Coordinate with project managers, technicians, contractors, electricians, suppliers, and other trades throughout the sales and installation process
- Gather measurements, photographs, site information, and other details required to prepare accurate proposals
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, project information, and follow-up requirements
- Stay informed about industry products, accessibility solutions, relevant standards, and market trends

Qualifications

- Proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or relationship-based selling is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, and generate new business rather than relying exclusively on inbound leads
- Comfortable approaching new organizations and individuals,



making introductions, and developing professional relationships
- Self-motivated and able to manage an independent sales territory and pipeline
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Experience in estimating, project coordination, construction, renovations, healthcare, accessibility, or technical sales is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities, projects, and client relationships simultaneously
- Comfortable learning technical products and construction-related processes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience reading drawings, measuring spaces, or assessing construction conditions is considered an asset
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Vancouver Island and surrounding areas
- Proficiency with computers, email communication, CRM systems, and basic office software
- Compassionate and client-focused attitude with a genuine desire to improve quality of life for others

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will not simply respond to inquiries as they arrive. They will take ownership of growing their territory by consistently developing new relationships, creating referral sources, following up on opportunities, and bringing new business into the company.

Success in this position will be measured through a combination of sales results, new leads generated, referral relationships developed, prospecting activity, follow-up performance, and overall contribution to company growth.

Compensation & Benefits

- Base salary plus commission

Pay: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
