With over 50 years of trusted service in the Niagara Region, Bob Robinson & Son Construction specializes in sewer and water infrastructure, site servicing, and civil construction projects. We take pride in our reputation for reliability, safety, and quality workmanship. We’re now looking for a Project Coordinator / Estimator to join our construction team and play a key role in planning, pricing, and managing projects from start to finish.

Position Summary

This role combines both coordination and estimating responsibilities, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment. You will support field crews by preparing accurate cost estimates, managing timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Qualifications

- Minimum 7 years’ experience in private sewer and water construction
- Strong estimating skills with knowledge of unit pricing and take-off methods
- Familiarity with construction documents, plans, and specifications
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or project management software is an asset
- Ability to work both in-office and on-site as needed
- Valid G license; clean driver’s abstract

Key Responsibilities

- Compile, Create, and Review documentation from both public and private construction jobs and conduct take-offs for civil construction jobs including:
- Site servicing, watermain and water service repairs,



catch basin repairs and replacements, grading and excavation (small residential jobs, work for existing clients)
- Meet clients on site to understand the project scope in order to provide accurate cost estimates and materials list needed for job completion
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bid packages through site meets and in-office research
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, materials, equipment, and personnel
- Conduct site visits to assess job requirements and ensure project readiness
- Collaborate with clients, municipalities, and internal teams to ensure project alignment
- Track job progress, budgets, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with permits, locates, and utility coordination as required
- Maintain robust relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and project management processes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 55.0 per week
