Stromsten Transportation is hiring an experienced Class 1 Roll-Off Truck Driver for a dedicated full-time run operating between Wells, BC and Merritt, BC.
This is a full-time, year-round position with strong earning potential for an experienced qualified driver who is comfortable with mountain highways, long-distance hauling and roll-off equipment.
Compensation
$130,000–$145,000 per year
Position
- Full-time, permanent
- Dedicated Wells, BC – Merritt, BC run
- Operating Class 1 tractor and roll-off bin equipment
- Highway and mountain driving
- Loading, securing, transporting and unloading roll-off bins
- Completing required pre-trip/post-trip inspections and paperwork
- Maintaining accurate electronic logs and complying with Hours of Service requirements
- Communicating with dispatch regarding loads, scheduling and road conditions
- Maintaining a professional and safety-focused approach at all times
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Valid air brake endorsement
- Clean/reasonable driver’s abstract
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle safety and Hours of Service regulations
- Experience operating heavy commercial equipment
- Comfortable operating on BC mountain highways and in changing weather conditions
- Roll-off experience is a strong asset - will train the right candidate
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious and able to work independently
