Job Summary

Ronin Trade Marketing is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined Field Service & Maintenance Technician to support our growing commercial service business in Toronto.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety. One day you may be completing storefront maintenance and commercial window cleaning; another day you may be installing shelving, repairing a door, assembling fixtures, or assisting a technician with network cabling or security camera installation.

We primarily work with restaurants, cafés, retailers, independent businesses and commercial property owners throughout Toronto.

The position will start with approximately 1–3 days of work per week, with the opportunity for additional work as our client base grows.

Duties

- Commercial storefront and window cleaning
- Storefront detailing, including doors, frames, entrances and exterior areas
- Installing shelving, fixtures, artwork and other wall-mounted items
- Furniture and fixture assembly
- Minor drywall repairs and patching
- Caulking and sealing
- Minor painting and touch-ups
- Door, hinge and hardware adjustments
- General handyman and property-maintenance tasks
- Assisting with network cabling and security camera installations
- Picking up materials or supplies when required
- Setting up and cleaning work areas
- Taking before-and-after photos and documenting completed work
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Identifying additional maintenance issues that should be brought to our attention

Who we're looking for

You don't need to be an expert in every area. We're looking for someone with a strong general skill set who is dependable,



practical, comfortable using tools and willing to learn our systems.

A good candidate may have experience in handyman services, building/property maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, carpentry, general contracting support, low-voltage installation or another hands-on service role.

You should be someone who can eventually be given a job description, address and customer information and be trusted to complete the work professionally without constant supervision.

Requirements

- Previous hands-on maintenance, handyman, construction or related experience
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Strong practical problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional appearance and customer communication
- Comfortable working independently
- Smartphone with ability to take and send photos
- Able to perform physical work, use ladders and lift approximately 50 lb
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Toronto
- Basic hand tools are an asset

Experience with window cleaning, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, low-voltage cabling or security camera installation is an asset, but not required across every category.

Compensation

$30–$40 per hour, depending on experience,



capabilities, tools and ability to work independently.

This is a part-time contract opportunity, beginning with approximately 1–3 days per week. Work volume may increase as the business grows.

There is potential for the right person to take on increasing responsibility and a larger field role over time.

What we're not looking for

This is not a large renovation or licensed-trades position. Our work generally consists of smaller service, maintenance, installation and repair projects.

We do not expect this technician to independently perform regulated electrical, plumbing or other work requiring a licensed trade.
