We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyperson Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities

- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including wiring, lighting, motors, panels, and control systems.
- Work with low voltage systems such as alarm systems, communication networks, and fiber optics and coax utility systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks with precision.
- Assist with renovation projects by upgrading existing electrical infrastructure or installing new systems in commercial or industrial facilities.
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques; implement effective solutions promptly.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining safety standards.

Skills





- Proven experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Strong background in industrial electrician work with hands-on experience in construction or renovation environments.
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment essential for electrical work.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems including alarm wiring, communication lines, and fiber optics and coax systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for working in industrial settings.
- Ability to perform handyman tasks related to electrical repairs or upgrades as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail when diagnosing issues or interpreting schematics.

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 50.0 per week

Education:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

- Electrical: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Journeyperson Trade Certificate (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
