AMG Contracting is hiring a reliable Water Damage & Mould Remediation Technician to join our restoration team. This is a hands-on, full-time role for someone who works hard, cares about doing the job right, and wants steady year-round work. Experience is great, but we're also willing to train the right person.
What You'll Do:
- Respond to water damage, flood, and mould jobs at residential and commercial sites
- Perform water extraction, drying, and structural dehumidification
- Set up and monitor fans, air movers, and dehumidifiers
- Remove damaged materials (drywall, flooring, insulation) and contain affected areas
- Carry out mould remediation following proper containment and safety procedures
- Apply antimicrobial and cleaning treatments
- Document job progress and moisture readings
- Keep equipment and work sites clean and organized
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of restoration/remediation experience (or willing to train)
- Able to perform physical labor and lift up
- Comfortable working in tight spaces and wearing PPE (respirators, suits)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred)
- [IICRC certification (WRT/AMRT) / other tickets] an asset
- Willing to be on-call for emergency jobs
