Express SRG is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant for a construction client in London, ON.

This is a 9-12 months contract -Directly with the client.

Responsibilities: (Not limited to: )

- Preparing and issuing customer invoices and progress billings.
- Reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and supporting documentation to ensure billing is accurate and complete.
- Following up on outstanding receivables and assisting with collections.
- Maintaining customer accounts and reconciling AR balances.
- Assisting with monthly billing and AR reporting.
- Processing payroll and ensuring employee hours, overtime, deductions, and other payroll information are accurate.
- Assisting with union payroll requirements and ensuring payroll is processed in accordance with applicable agreements.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and supporting payroll-related reporting.
- Working closely with project managers and site teams to obtain the information required for accurate billing.
- Assisting with month-end accounting activities and reconciliations as required.

Qualifications:

- 2 plus years of experience in billing, Accounts receivable and payroll
- Experience with construction industry is an asset.
- Post secondary education in accounting
