About the Client:

We're seeking a compassionate caregiver for a 93-year-old woman living in Blue Mountain with her son. She has arthritis throughout her body and uses a walker for mobility. Recently, she has experienced multiple falls and was unable to get up on her own when the family was away. While she remains independent in many daily activities like making her own lunch, she spends most of her time sitting and watching golf or news on TV. She's starting to experience some memory changes but is otherwise cognitively engaged. She has two friendly French Water Dogs in the home.

Responsibilities:

- Provide companionship and supervision to ensure safety, particularly fall prevention
- Encourage and assist with light exercises to maintain mobility and strength
- Engage in conversation and activities to reduce sedentary time
- Monitor for any changes in condition and communicate with family
- Be comfortable around two medium-sized, friendly dogs
- Provide respite for the client's son who is the primary caregiver

What We're Looking For:

- Experience with seniors who use mobility aids (walker/wheelchair)
- Understanding of fall risk management and arthritis care
- Patience and ability to motivate someone who may be resistant to exercise
- Comfortable working independently in a home setting
- Reliable and consistent with scheduled visits




- English-speaking
- Comfortable around dogs
- Ability to recognize and respond to changes in client condition

Schedule:

Mondays and Wednesdays, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (4 hours per week). The client watches golf Thursday through Sunday, so these midweek afternoons are ideal for engagement and activity. This schedule allows the client's son time for his own activities, including walking and errands, while ensuring his mother has supervision and companionship.
