Communications Technician

We are a locally owned and operated communications company with over 30 years of experience serving Grande Prairie and clients across Canada. Our work spans a wide range of communication solutions, and we take pride in being a diverse, team-focused company.

We are currently looking for an experienced Communications Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of hands-on field experience in the communications or telecom industry, solid troubleshooting skills, and be comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

- Install, service, and repair communication systems, including:
- Cellular boosters
- SCADA data radios
- Repeaters
- Access points, switches, and routers
- Troubleshoot and test telecom and communication equipment
- Climb towers and perform work at heights while following all safety protocols
- Provide technical support and assist with customer installations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Work independently in the field while also supporting the overall team




- Occasionally travel for short overnight trips as required

Qualifications

- 1–2 years of field experience in the communications, telecom, or related technical industry
- Hands-on experience will be considered alongside formal certifications
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing towers
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Diploma or degree in a technology-related field is an asset
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Team player with a willingness to support other technicians and team members
