Responsibilities:

- Safely Transport aggregates, soil, equipment, and other materials to and from job sites in a timely and effective manner

-Perform thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle; complete and submit all required inspection and logbook documentation

-Identify and report mechanical issues, defects, or maintenance needs promptly

-Operate trucks in compliance with all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and provincial transportation laws

-Verify load contents, weight, and securement to ensure safe and accurate transport, and compliance with legal limits

-Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including delivery tickets, hours of service, fuel usage and inspection reports

- Adhere to safe driving practices in a variety of conditions, including construction zones, off-road environments, and adverse weather conditions

- General truck mechanical skills would be asset

Requirements

-Minimum of three (3) years experience operating a tandem truck,



preferably within construction or excavation environments

-Valid Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement; Class 1 license considered a strong asset

-Strong knowledge of applicable transportation laws, safety regulations, and industry best practices

-Clean driver's abstract and demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices

-Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance

-Comfortable working independently, while also contributing effectively within a team environment

-Must be reliable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
