- Pay: $19.75–$24.27 per hour, based on education

Part-Time Position

- Position ID: SB72 - Staffed Residence Weekends
- Classification: Community Disability Services Worker (CDSW)
- Location: Magrath, AB
- Hours: Saturday and Sundays (Including STATS) 10 am - 6 pm, 16 hours/week
- Pay: $19.75–$24.27 per hour, based on education
- Start: ASAP

Part-Time Position

- Position ID: SB135 - Staffed Residence Evenings
- Classification: Community Disability Services Worker (CDSW)
- Location: Magrath, AB
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 4 pm - 8 pm (20 hours/week)
- Pay: $19.75–$24.27 per hour, based on education
- Start: ASAP

About the Role

The Community Disability Service Worker is a front-line community disability services role that has responsibility to support and facilitate the development of skills and competencies that will assist persons with developmental disabilities to pursue and fulfill their goals, objectives, and aspirations. This position is responsible for providing teaching, training, care, and support in accordance with the agency’s philosophy, policies, and procedures, and to promote individuals’ participation in home living as well as community/recreational activities. Your responsibilities may include:

- Supporting individuals with their daily routines and daily activities
- Medication administration
- Meal preparation
- Providing personal care and behavioural supports




- Supporting individuals during community outings and activities
- Providing transportation to community activities, including activities at the SASH Community Access building in Magrath
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and participation in the community
- Maintaining a safe, supportive, and respectful workplace

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

- Diploma in Disability Supports or related education preferred
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience providing personal care and behavioural supports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and general computer use

Required Certifications & Documentation

The successful candidate must have, or be willing to obtain within 90 days:

- Emergency First Aid/CPR
- APRP
- SIVA
- Medication Administration

Training may be provided through the agency, or candidates may provide current certifications.

A clear criminal record check, including the Vulnerable Sector Check, is required.

Driver Requirements

- A valid Class 5 driver's licence, clean driver's abstract, and reliable vehicle are required.
- Candidates must also have $2,000,000 in liability insurance coverage.
