Job Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Turret Operator for a busy manufacturing facility in Mississauga that specializes in the production of custom store fixtures, displays, shelving, and retail components.

The successful candidate will have 2–3 years of experience operating CNC turret punch machines, preferably in a sheet metal or fixture manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for setting up and operating turret equipment, producing accurate parts according to drawings and work orders, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position suited to someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC turret punch machines to manufacture sheet metal components.
- Load and position raw materials onto the machine.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
- Make basic machine adjustments to maintain accuracy and production quality.
- Inspect finished and in-process parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures.
- Perform first-piece and quality inspections before continuing production runs.
- Monitor machine operation and identify tooling, material, or equipment issues.




- Perform basic troubleshooting and notify the supervisor of mechanical or machine problems.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Assist with material handling and other production duties as required.

Requirements

- 2–3 years of experience operating CNC turret punch equipment.
- Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication, retail fixture manufacturing, or a similar production workplace is preferred.
- Experience with Amada, Trumpf, or similar turret punch machines is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and tooling.
- Ability to identify quality issues and make basic machine adjustments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials as required.
