At Boyne Care Holdings, we are dedicated to "honouring the ageless spirit." We are seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day operations and help maintain the physical assets of our property. Working under the guidance of the Director of Maintenance, you will play a vital role in keeping our building safe, operational, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

- Troubleshoot and complete minor repairs involving electrical, plumbing, structural, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive building maintenance, including weather-proofing, caulking, and window repairs.
- Address routine plumbing needs (unclogging fixtures, fixing minor leaks, replacing faucets).
- Handle basic electrical tasks, such as replacing lamps, bulbs, light fixtures, and ballasts.
- Assemble, move, and repair furniture, fixtures, wall displays, door locks, and hardware.
- Patch drywall and execute interior/exterior painting projects.
- Purchase necessary supplies, equipment, and materials for maintenance tasks.
- Maintain facility grounds and handle basic outdoor care.

Qualifications & Skills





- Robust working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience operating a variety of power tools, hand tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints and assemble furniture/equipment according to written instructions.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to follow instructions and interact professionally with the public.
- Valid Driver’s License required; basic computer skills are considered an asset.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and regularly lift/carry equipment (occasionally up to 75+ lbs).
- Ability to work safely around household chemicals, herbicides, and cleaning agents while using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Flexibility to participate in an evening and weekend on-call rotation schedule.

Pay: $16.81-$24.14 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
