We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic Property Management System (PMS) Modernization Program, migrating from Oracle Opera PMS to Opera Cloud across hospitality operations. The Business Analyst will serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, hotel operations teams, technology teams, and implementation partners to ensure successful requirements gathering, process redesign, testing, data validation, and user adoption.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hospitality domain expertise, hands-on experience with PMS platforms such as Oracle Opera, Opera Cloud, Infor HMS, Maestro, StayNTouch, or similar hotel management systems, and a solid understanding of modern data and cloud technologies, including SQL, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, Revenue Management, Sales, and Finance to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze current-state PMS processes and define future-state workflows within Opera Cloud.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Develop business requirements documents, user stories, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
- Identify gaps between legacy Opera PMS functionality and Opera Cloud capabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
PMS Modernization & Transformation
- Support end-to-end migration activities from Oracle Opera PMS to Opera Cloud.
- Participate in solution design discussions and provide business process expertise.
- Assist in defining data migration requirements, mapping rules, and validation criteria.
- Analyze integrations between PMS, CRS, POS, Loyalty, Finance, and Reporting systems.
- Partner closely with implementation vendors and internal technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Data & Analytics
- Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation using SQL.
- Support data migration testing and validation activities.
- Collaborate with Azure and Databricks teams to understand data flows, reporting requirements, and downstream impacts.
- Assist in defining operational and analytical reporting requirements before, during, and after migration.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test scenarios, test cases, and business validation scripts.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with hotel operations and business users.
- Validate migrated data, business processes, and system integrations.
- Track defects and work with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
Change Management & User Adoption
- Support the development of training materials and business readiness activities.
- Facilitate stakeholder communications and change management initiatives.
- Assist operational teams during deployment, hypercare, and stabilization phases.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- 3+ years of experience within the Hospitality, Hotel, Resort, or Travel industry.
- Experience supporting PMS implementations, upgrades, or migration programs.
- Proven experience working with Oracle Opera PMS, Opera Cloud, or comparable hotel management platforms.
Hospitality Domain Knowledge
Strong understanding of hotel operations, including:
- Reservations
- Front Desk Operations
- Housekeeping
- Revenue Management
- Guest Services
- Night Audit
- Property Financial Operations
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and validation.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Experience with Databricks, data lakes, and modern analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with API-based integrations and system interfaces.
- Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Visio, Excel, and reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Opera Cloud migration programs.
- Knowledge of hospitality data models and reporting frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of cloud-based SaaS applications and modernization initiatives.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar Business Analysis certification.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $43.35/hour - $67.74/hour. Our offered benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
