We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team on evenings and weekends. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring a smooth flow of operations within our fast-paced hospital.
The ideal candidate will bring previous veterinary clinic experience, a passion for animals and strong communication skills that will help create a welcoming workplace for both clients and their pets.
Duties
- Promptly greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries following triage protocols.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries, including end-of-day reports with attention to detail.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred.
- A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling, record keeping and communication.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, laboratory procedures is a plus but not mandatory.
